My Story

I am a 22 year old woman who is going to be attending Grafton Job Corps in Massachusetts.

I try to be down-to-earth in all things that I do, and try my best to be non-judgmental.

Originally from Florida, I moved to New Hampshire in May of 2010. I tried the college route, and even attended Le Cordon Bleu of Boston for a while. This route, however, wasn't a good one for me. Even though I have always been called "smart" (even "Hermione Granger" at times..) I lacked confidence in myself to be able to finish the degree route, and the fact of going into debt with loans scared me half to death.

After spending 7 months not doing school and trying to find a decent job, I realized having NO education whatsoever wasn't going to work either. So after much thought, discussion, and debating I decided to call the Job Corps office.

My admission's counselor Kristin was really good at calming my nerves and letting me ask every question I could think of (and trust me, there were tons). So after many nights talking it over with my boyfriend, filling out mountains of paperwork, and doing both required interviews, I awaited word on my fate with the program on bated breath.

After a while, I was informed that I was indeed accepted. After many weeks of waiting, I found out on March 8th 2011 that I would be starting on April 5th 2011.
